Rome, Capital of Italy

Rome (Italian: Roma [Roma] (listen)) is a city and a special municipality (called "Roma Capitale") of Italy. It is the capital of the country of the province and also of the Lazio region. With 2.7 million inhabitants in 1285.3 square kilometers of area, it is also the largest Italian city and the fourth most populous city in the European Union.
